Celebrations of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence Incoming!
On July 1, all three branches of Vermont government, led by our Judiciary, will be celebrating together around the Capitol in Montpelier. Click here to learn about it all. There will be kids’ activities (potato sack races etc.) and inspiring events (a naturalization ceremony) and fun. Rumur has it that VBA board member, and all-around good sport, Judge Tom Tomasi is scheduled to appear as Geoge the Third in a dunking booth. Many county bars are also planning events to mark the occasion and information about those is also available at the link above. The Vermont Bar Association is playing its part by inviting members of Vermont’s legal community — and their friends — to join us for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and great company at our American & Vermont History Trivia Contest.
Join us on Wednesday, July 1, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Barr Hill Distillery, 116 Gin Lane in Montpelier. Trivia questions and music will be provided by 802 Trivia. We are springing for some delicious hors d’oeuvres, prizes will be awarded, and beverages will be available at the cash bar.
We have room for approximately 50 participants and hope to field up to 12 teams of four. So put together a team from your office or legal friends around Vermont or come on your own and we’ll match you up with a team. Since space is limited, RSVPs are requested. You can register yourself or your team on our VBA event calendar right here: RSVP for Trivia
If you have questions email us [email protected]. Any member of our legal community and their close associates are welcome to finish a fun day in Montpelier on July 1 at Barr Hill.
We hope to see you there for an entertaining evening of history, Vermont knowledge, and camaraderie.
