Vermont Law and Graduate School is holding a Veterans Advocate Training Program on July 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will gain an introduction to advocating for veterans before the VA, a review of the VA benefits appeals process, and an update on current trends in veteran’s advocacy—all while earning three Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.
The South Royalton Legal Clinic’s Veterans Legal Assistance Project, with the generous support of the Thomas M. French Veterans Advocacy Fund, is honored to provide this introductory CLE program for attorneys and appointed representatives.
Attorneys and other advocates who become accredited will be listed on a national VA list and may represent veterans in their initial claims for VA benefits on a pro bono basis, and on VA benefits appeals for attorney’s fees.
This program is free for attorneys and appointed representatives in exchange for their commitment to assist at least one pro bono VA benefits client in the year following the program. We encourage you and others you know to attend.
The event will take place in person on the VLGS campus in the Chase Community Center and virtually at vermontlaw.edu/live. Registration information will be available soon from the Law School.
