On a beautiful Burlington Sunday afternoon on August 28th, the VBA Young Lawyers Division hosted a barbecue picnic in Oakledge Park for all Vermont lawyers from the most newly-admitted to the most seasoned. Those who attended got to enjoy catered soul food from a small local business, Harmony’s Kitchen, a variety of beverages, and lawn games from bocce to cornhole to frisbee. Special thanks to YLD Board member Monica Allard for organizing the event and to the Vermont Bar Foundation and its new Executive Director José Herrera for lending the YLD a sound system. The YLD hopes to plan more smaller-scale social events throughout the State in the coming year.
