The official kick-off of the 9th Annual Vermont Legal Community Fighting Hunger Food and Diaper Drive is almost upon us. The deadline for signing up is Sept. 3, just after you get back from your Labor Day holiday! All the details, including links to the signup sheet, can be found in this press release from Attorney General Clark.
The Drive will run from Sept. 5 to Sept. 19. It is sponsored by the Attorney General’s Office, the Vermont Foodbank, the Vermont Bar Association, and the Vermont Paralegal Organization. These groups, along with legal professionals around the state, have raised more than $85,000 and collected more than 13,000 food items and other nonperishable items such as diapers over the years.
The most successful food (and diaper) raising groups will be recognized at the VBA’s Annual Meeting on Sept. 26 in Burlington.
