Position: Mid-Level Associate Attorney Location: Sharon, VT
Job Description: SouthLaw PLLC is seeking a motivated mid-level associate attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong professional background and demonstrated proficiency working with Vermont Titles 15 (Domestic Relations) and 33 (Human Services).
Key Responsibilities:
Managing active caseloads, client consultations, and case strategy.
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and memoranda.
Representing clients effectively in administrative and court hearings.
Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients navigating complex statutory frameworks.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the Vermont Bar (or eligible to waive in).
Solid working knowledge and practical application experience involving Title 15 and Title 13/33 matters.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a tight-knit team environment.
