Key Responsibilities
- Draft documents: Prepare deeds, mortgages, closing disclosures, lease agreements, and affidavits.
- Review titles: Analyze title commitments, exceptions, surveys, and lien searches to clear title clouds.
- Coordinate closings: Schedule closing dates, calculate prorations, and prepare final closing packages.
- Manage communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents.
- Handle post-closing: Disburse funds, record legal documents, and finalize title insurance policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a real estate paralegal or closing coordinator.
- Education: Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
- Tech savvy: Proficiency with real estate closing software (e.g., PrepXpress) and MS Office.
- Organization: Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.]
