The VBA Young 
Lawyers Division Marathon Relay Teams met bright and early on race day (Sunday, May 25) ready to run. The weather was chilly in Burlington, and the teams coordinated an exchange of jackets to keep everyone warm after their leg of the relay! Both teams’ first leg runners, Danielle Simpson for Team 1 and Mark Seltzer for Team 2 crushed their legs, getting faster after each mile. The pace continued through legs 2 and 3, with Colette Schmidt and Tyler Gorbett for Team 1, and Alex Hunter and Stephen Brown for Team 2 carrying the torch to the Main Street Relay Exchange. Both teams finished strong, with Sebastian Arduengo and Megan Calla for Team 1 and Elaine Jones and Ryan Long for Team 2 pushing to the finish line for legs 4 and 5. Team 1 finished with an overall time of 4:33:35. Team 2 finished on top with an overall time of 3:34:20!
