Richardson Nominated Pres-Elect; Mikell and Valente to Battle for Board Spot

At its meeting on Friday, December 14, the VBA Nominations Committee, chaired by past president Jim Carroll, produced a slate of nominees for VBA Board positions. Elections will be held at the VBA Mid-Year Meeting, March 15, 2013, at the Sheraton in Burlington.

Daniel Richardson was nominated to be president-elect, replacing David Fenster, who will step up to the presidency at the Annual Meeting in September. Amber Barber, the current president, will become immediate past president at that time.

Matt Valerio and Ted Tyler were nominated to continue as treasurer and secretary respectively. They will run unopposed.

David Carter, Michael Kennedy, and Daniel Maguire were nominated for two-year seats on the Board. They will each run unopposed.

In the only contested election, Andy Mikell will vie against Thomas Valente for a one-year seat on the Board, completing the two-year term being vacated by Richardson. More information on Mikell and Valente will be available in future BarNews stories and online at the VBA Facebook page.
