Chief Justice Reiber announced that Superior Court Judge Tom Zonay will succeed Chief Superior Judge Brian Grearson in that role effective upon Judge Grearson’s retirement on November 1. The announcement follows:
Colleagues:
Up to now I have had only the rare opportunity, if at all, to announce a change in the people central to the administration of our Vermont courts. And while many of us view change of command with trepidation, today change is our good fortune as the Court has selected a talented, knowledgeable and hard-working individual, Judge Tom Zonay, to follow another of the same, Judge Brian Grearson, in the role as Chief Superior Judge.
Please join me in sending your congratulations and best wishes to Judge Zonay as he assumes his new role effective November 1, 2021.
Honorable Paul L. Reiber
Chief Justice
Vermont Supreme Court
