VT Free Legal Answers is a free service for low income Vermonters who cannot afford a lawyer. Go to to get free legal advice about non-criminal legal problems from volunteer lawyers.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1.   Go to and follow the prompts. No computer or smart phone?  Use a

computer at your local library for free.

     2.  Use the website to ask a question.

     3. A volunteer lawyer will answer your question through the website.
