00-01 A lawyer may join a not-for-profit lawyer referral service operated by a statewide organization which provides information about participating lawyers to its members in response to requests from its members for recommendation of lawyers having experience in the field of law which the organization services.

95-02 Participation in a for-profit lawyer referral service without payment of a fee to the service does not violate the Code of Professional Responsibility

A legal directory for a legal services delivery plan may list a firm’s area of concentration but may not indicate that it is an area of specialization unless the firm or attorney is in fact a specialist as defined in DR 2-105 (A).
