IMPEACHMENT BY BAD REPUTATION FOR TELLING TRUTH

A witness’s testimony may be discredited by evidence that the witness has a reputation for not telling the truth, in the community  where the witness now resides or has recently resided.  If you find that a witness’s testimony has been called into question, you may consider the evidence of the witness’s reputation in deciding how much weight to give the witness’s testimony.
