FOREPERSON’S DUTIES

I shall appoint as foreperson of the jury. The foreperson acts as a chairperson or moderator. It is your duty to see that discussion is carried on in a sensible and orderly fashion -- to see that the issues submitted for your decision are fully and fairly discussed, and that every juror has a chance to say what he or she thinks upon every question. Where ballots should be taken, you will see that it is done.
